I originally founded Miles with Michelle Coaching in Lincoln in 2016, but I relocated to the West Pennines in 2017, so can now be found running around Bolton, Wigan and Chorley.

I’ve been running since 2002, and my heart lies on the beautiful West Pennine moorlands. I am a fully qualified and insured Coach in Running Fitness through UK Athletics, a certified Canicross Trainer through Dogfit UK, and Run Leader Mentor through RunTogether.

I got into the world of coaching in 2009 when I founded Witham Runners (Lincolnshire) running club. A baptism of fire, as chairperson for 8 years, I rode a fast rollercoaster-like learning curve, affiliating with UK Athletics, fundraising, event and race organising, after-school running clubs, and of course, coaching. I was at the helm as Witham Runners took on the race management of the popular Bassingham Bash 5 mile event, and was co-race director for the 2015 and 2016 events.

I have many years experience of coaching, both on and off track, from beginner level through to ultramarathon distance. I specialise in endurance road and trail running, although I am now doing much more track coaching, as I am involved with the juniors section of Horwich RMI Harriers.

A keen runner myself, I have competed in many events from fell races to road marathons, and various trail marathons and ultramarathons. I firmly believe that anybody can achieve anything they set their heart on with the right mindset and the right support at their side. I only started running in my late twenties, so I don’t have an athletics background, and for this reason a lot of my work is focused on helping beginners find the confidence to start their own running journeys, because I know how daunting it can be to take that first step.

I am also very proud to be associated with Proviz Sports, Protein Rebel, Ruby Fury ActivewearRunderwear and UKRunChat.
